4 4 DRAFT When 1+1 = 3 The problem with “business as usual”: —Two heads are (usually) better than one —Interactive, collaborative and informal analysis v. static, one-sided and formal presentation —Work efficiency and quality What you will need: —A team of 2-5 problem-solvers —An overhead projector (and popcorn) for in-person meetings or desktop software for remote meetings Tips for success: —Understand your scope and goal (what specific questions are you trying to answer?) —In preparation, QA your data and do a preliminary analysis (~5 solid worksheets of pre-work) —Host a meeting using Tableau as your dynamic analysis tool (v. PowerPoint as your static presentation medium) —Create an agenda and stick to it! How to use Tableau to encourage group think OR… Instead of having another static and boring PowerPoint meeting, try a dynamic and interactive meeting with Tableau instead
