October Newsletter 2015 Contacts During sessions : Out of hours: Autumn Term We are already half way through our first half term and all our new children are settling in well. So far this term the children have enjoyed learning about and experiencing topics on ourselves, our families and Autumn. Information regarding our themes and planned activities are displayed on the curriculum notice board in the corridor, from Monday 5 th October you can see our theme of the week displayed on the main front door. Children are welcome to bring in items relating to our themes. We also record daily activities on our ‘Today We’ board in the corridor. Newsletter Tempest Photography On Wednesday October 7 th we have a photographer coming into Pre-School to take individual and family photographs. All children and families are welcome, the photographer will be at Bizzy Bears from 8.50am until 11.30am. Please see a member of staff to arrange a time slot if your child is not in that day or if you wish your child to have their photograph taken with siblings. If you do not want your child’s photograph taken please inform a member of staff. Children’s Online Learning Journeys We are holding an information evening on Monday 5 th October 6.00pm-6.30pm at Bizzy Bears Preschool, to share important information about your child’s new online learning journal. We will be providing information about what you can expect to see in your child’s learning journal, how you as a parent can contribute and how to register. If you are unable to attend this information evening we will be proving parents with information/login forms from Tuesday 6 th October each morning and afternoon at the front of the Pavilion. Thank you It was lovely to see so many families join us for our two sing along sessions, the children really enjoyed sharing their favourite songs and parents have fed back what an enjoyable experience it was and a great opportunity to learn new songs. Please look out for future dates for the next sing along sessions! Policies We have reviewed and amended our Safeguarding Children Policy. A copy of our policies and procedures are available to parents and carers and are located in the changing rooms and on our website.

New Outdoor Area As you will have seen, work is now well under way to construct our new outdoor area. We are hoping all the building work will be completed within the next 2 weeks and then we can move in and begin creating the features and areas that we have planned.
