New Words A solid figure with flat surfaces is called a POLYHEDRON
A polyhedron with two parallel, congruent bases is called a PRISM
A polyhedron with only one base that is a polygon is called a PYRAMID.
A solid with two congruent, parallel circles for bases is a CYLINDER.
A solid with only one base, that is a circle is a Cone.
Naming Polyhedron Names come from the shape of the base, and if it is a prism or pyramid.
Parts Polyhedron Faces are the flat surfaces. Planes Edges are where faces meet Lines Vertices are where more than two faces meet Point
