Angarsk is considered to be on of the most beautiful and comfortable town in Russia. Angarsk is quite young town because its building starts in 1945 and it has the status of the town in The citizens call Angarsk the town born by the Victory because the first builders were the people who returned from the war.

The town is popular with its unique and unusual museums. The museum of clocks has the biggest collection of clocks and watches. The first collection was presented to the town by Kurdukov P.V. There are clocks not only from Russia and also from other countries.

The museum of Victory contains of many rare and unique examples which are connected with Great Patriotic War. This place is very important for the citizens and guests of our town because we all remember those tragic days. The museum is the platform of patriotic education.

Marmot – symbol of Angarsk This unusual animal and its monument presented a funny nickname to Angarsk - "the town of fur hat makers". It is so because in the 1980s the economy of the town was saved by producing and selling hats made from marmots.

There are a lot of parks and green places in the town. It is very green and beautiful in the summer.

One of the greatest sightseeing in Angarsk is the Holy Trinity Cathedral. There is Christian library and on Sundays children visit the school.

Angarsk has it's own hockey club Ermak.
