2 Welcome  Hello!  How are you today.  Lets start a new Lesson !

3 Recap  In the last chapter, we learned how to Regroup ones as tens to make addition simpler.  Always begin with adding ones.  You can regroup by making tens and ones if there is 10 or more ones.  Then we add tens to get the sum.

4 Try this!!  Julia bought 6 dresses from a shop. Her friend bought 11 dresses from the same shop. How many dresses did they buy all together? Can you tell the correct answer? Well done!!

5 Adding one digit to two digit numbers  Lets add 6 and 17. Write 6 as 6 ones and 17 as 1 tens and 7 ones.  Show 6 and 17 in tens and ones table in step 1. TensOnes TensOnesTensOnes Step 1Step 2Step 3 Add 6 ones and 7 ones.Regroup 10 ones as 1 ten.Add the tens.
