Question 4. Emily Hemmings.

Audience for our film..

Typical Audience Member. ‘This is Nastja Kasic. She is 19 and 5 months of age and lives in the middle of London. She dresses fairly indie –wearing indie doc martins and skinny jeans. She enjoys going out with her friends to bars and restaurants but works 5 days a week from 9-5. She shops in places like Topshop, H&M and Urban Outfitters although its mostly the boys section! She enjoys thriller film such as se7en, Hide and seek or Beautiful Boy. She also watches series such as Skins, Hollyoaks, Eastenders and Americans Next Top Model, she has sky and watches a variation of channels. She enjoys going to the cinema but would prefer to go to the local shop and buy a DVD or rent one. The music Nastja would listen to is garage, indie or the charts on Sundays on radio 1. She is more of a tom boys and likes to be one of the lads, as she finds it easier to get on with boys then girls. She likes indie films and her friends also watch them so she can compare them when meeting for coffee.’

15. The audience we were going for was teenage boys and girls from the age of 15 to the age of 21 is our target market that we aim for to watch our film Hidden. The reason why the film has a certificate of 15 is because there is scenes of drug references, strong language and sexual scenes throughout which is typical in a thriller film. We also chose the rating 15 as the background is quite complex which younger people of the age of 15 may not able to understand for example different religious backgrounds and meanings to different words.

Boys or girls? Although I said our film would target boys and girls, I think It could refer more to females as the main character is a young girl which the female audience may be able to relate too. It also shows the dangers that females may be in when drinking or under the influence of drugs which could be vital, although it is a thriller film it can teach many things and make the female audience more street wise to what is out there and to never walk alone in the dark.
