Athena is a live program. It can be logged in from any computer at any time on the website. Very easy to use and navigate. Advanced MD The physician checks off the CPT and ICD codes on an online charge slip Codes are sent to the billing office, then Advanced MD also reviews, through clearinghouse Insurance claims are filed Advanced MD verifies, post and adjust as need. For quick and effective payment approval

American HealthTech The MDS coordinator creates a care plan for each resident Assessments are done for each resident If Medicare, they are done every 5, 14, 30, 60, and 90 days- quarterly after 90 days For all other insurance, assessments are done quarterly Assessments are transmitted to the state database The state is billed at the end of the month The facility gets paid based on the score the assessments receive The score is based on how much assistance the resident needs. Medicare/Medicaid pays accordingly Medicare pays $300-$700 per resident per day Medicaid pays $1-$3 per resident per day

PowerPoint Collaboration Cynthia Mckinney Ingrid Barrow Karla Jorgensen Cynthia initiated the PowerPoint, she created the slides and inputted her information and some of mine(Ingrid), I then went ahead and made adjustments by making my part more detailed and making a few changes. Then Karla went ahead and placed her slides on the bottom of the PowerPoint and ed it back to me, I went in and placed Karla’s slides in the correct order and made necessary changes to include 3 systems instead of the two from the original PowerPoint.
