 Usually people tune it out or become bored and distant in a conversation. The same result happens when you sign without using facial expressions.  Auditory information, such as tone of voice, emotion, and intent must be visual in American Sign Language.  (Texting)

 The point of facial expressions is clearly to convey grammar and meaning, and sometimes what hearing people think is “good enough” falls short of what ASL requires.  You DO NOT match each sign with a specific facial expression, instead match your face to the overall meaning of the sentence.

 ADVERB:Adverbs are words that modify  a verb (He drove slowly. — How did he drive?)verb  an adjective (He drove a very fast car. — How fast was his car?)adjective  another adverb (She moved quite slowly down the aisle. — How slowly did she move?)

 ADJECTIVES:  Adjectives are words that describe or modify another person or thing in the sentence. The Articles — a, an, and the — are adjectives.Articles  the tall professor  the lugubrious lieutenant  a solid commitment  a month's pay  a six-year-old child  the unhappiest, richest man

 - It is normal to feel awkward or uncomfortable when making facial expressions at first, but with practice you will become more confident and skilled!  -With out them you can not sign questions, show interest, or carry on a satisfying conversation conversation.
