 The Pegasus Constellation is nicknamed the Winged Horse.

Pegasus is the winged horse connected with the legend of Perseus and Andromeda. It is said that the animal was created from the blood of the monster Medusa, which Perseus killed.

 Pegasus is home to a few faint galaxies!  The symbol of the winged horse is found as far back as 430 B.C. on coins!

 It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2 nd century astronomer, Ptolemy!  The Pegasus Constellation’s magnitude is 6.4!
