Project?  You have 3 Options when it comes to the project.  Mathematicians/Inventors  Summer Vacation  Build your Own Business

Mathematicians/Inventor In this project, you will be researching a famous Mathematician or Inventor. Choose a mathematician or inventor and gather information from online resources and books. You will create a slide power point presentation or a tri-fold posterboard to present.

Summer Vacation In this project, you will plan your dream vacation. You can make your destination anywhere in the world. However, you must plan every detail:  cost of transportation, number of miles, cost of lodging, cost of visiting the local museums, shops, etc., cost of food, and anything else. You will create a tri-fold posterboard or slide powerpoint presentation.

Build Your Own Business In this project you will create your own business. You will pitch your business to the class. You will calculate your profits or losses, your expenses, your revenue, etc. You will present graphs of your company’s profit. You can present with a slide powerpoint or a tri-fold posterboard.

Remember  Use the project form you were given in class for helpful hints of things to include in your project.  You can either do a trifold posterboard or a slide powerpoint.

How do I get a good grade?  First and Foremost Work Hard and do you personal BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!  You must have either a Trifold Posterboard or a Slide Powerpoint Presentation  PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR WORK

Tri-Fold Posterboard  Have lots of Pictures  Make it interactive if possible.  Make it relevant to the subject.  Use lots of color and facts… if you are pitching a business sell it!!!!!!!

Continued…  Use proper Grammer and Spelling  Careless errors and unprofessional looking work will count off.  You can be creative!!! (use glitter, markers, colored pencils, etc.)

Powerpoint  At minimum it must be 10 well developed slides.  Slides must contain transitions  Powerpoint should have sounds or music of some kind.  Again: Make it relevant to the subject.

Continued  Slides must have creative backgrounds and wording should transition.  Use lots of pictures and clip art.  This is a representation of your best work, so do your best.

Final Note  Project is due May 6,2013  DO YOUR PERSONAL BEST  There is no excuse for not completing the assignment, you have the entire school year.

Have Fun
