The “bottom line” describes the fundamental working conditions and minimum pay that we can accept to pay our bills, achieve our objectives and have satisfaction. We think about the “bottom line” to help us plan. We can begin by asking some key questions. Cognates

“I want a job that contributes something important. I want to improve the conditions in my community.” “I get my satisfaction in life from my family and my religion. I want a regular, reliable job that doesn’t cause me much stress.” “I want a job that will challenge me. I want the opportunity to move up and have more responsibilities.” “I want a job that pays enough so I won’t be preoccupied with the bills. I want a job that is near our home and my family.” “I want a job that permits me to be creative.” “I want a job with flexible hours, so I can take care of my family’s necessities without problems.” “I want to work out in the fresh air. It would be terrible to work in an office all day.” Cognates
