LMI Funding (Current) ETA Workforce Information Grant (NYS $1.2M) BLS Cooperative Programs USDOE America’s Career Resource Network Grant (No funding beyond 6/30/06) NYSDOL Programs

Workforce Information Grant ALMIS Database * Occupational Projections * Occupational/Career Information Support State and local WIBs Electronic workforce information delivery system Support state workforce information training activities * Specific guidance provided by ETA

Currently Ad hoc approach to providing services R&S staff judge which ideas would be most important/helpful What’s Needed Advisory Group to help prioritize Systemic approach for identifying information needs Customer-driven priorities Engaged LWIBs

Labor Market Information Advisory Group Provide policy-level direction on information needs Recommend new and changes to existing products and services Assists in the development of the annual Workforce Information Plan

The Advisory Group Membership Local WIBs (majority) State WIB Workforce Development staff Research & Statistics (non-voting)

Advisory Group Chair elected by members of the group Meet at least semi-annually Division of Research & Statistics will provide administrative support Establish a draft charter
