Workforce Development Guarantee An outcome of the 21 st Century project Aimed at supporting staff to develop skills to support and deliver vocational education in the 21 st Century.

Workforce Development Guarantee Five Capabilities plus one Delivering workforce development services to enterprises (in the workplace) Using technologies to do business Meeting the needs of diverse learners Interpreting and customising Training Packages Leadership Environmental sustainability

How can I participate? Innovation and Entrepreneurial Projects eg eMentor, Industry Engagement Recognition Services Upgrading Skills PD Activities Enrolment in National Units and Qualifications with TWG

What can I enrol in? National qualification or skill sets align to one or more of the five capability areas of the Workforce Development Guarantee AND a vacancy exists Refer to for available skill setshttp://wdg.wit.wikispaces.net/ NB This does not apply to Cert IV TAA but does apply to courses such as Diploma Management, Diploma TAA and Cert IV OH&S

Can I get recognition? 1.Staff who have undertaken a range of PD activities and/or experience inside and outside the Institute and who have not received formal recognition. 2.Staff aspiring to and/or undertaking leadership roles Mentoring/Coaching Internal auditing eLearning/online delivery Customer Service Strategic Management Leading Organisations Key Management Skills

What is the process? a Director identifies participants or b Training part of negotiated training plan with line manager Qualification/Skill Sets discussed with Teaching Sections delivering course SD2 recommended by line manager and approved by Director Enrolment/assessment in Teaching Section using TWG exemption code approval letter Assessors utilise a risk management approach to ensure no conflict of interest
