Deciduous Forest By: Claire Ostopowicz

 These forests are found in North America, Europe, and Asia.  The average temperature in deciduous forest is roughly 75 degrees but gets as high as 86 degrees, depending on the altitude of the forest. Location

Location  Deciduous forest are found in the middle latitudes around the globe.

Landscape  Deciduous trees lose their leaves seasonally.  They would look different depending on the time you look at it.  In spring and summer it would look lush and green.

Plants/Animals  Peccary-Peccaries are most active at dawn and dusk; they rest during the hottest part of the day.  Nightingale-The nightingale is about 6 to 7 inches long and weighs about 1in a half to 1 ounce.

Animals  Newt- Newts are about 3 to 4 inches long. Newt spend their lives near water because they must return to the water to lay their eggs.

Fun Facts  The soil in the deciduous forest is quite fertile, since it is often enriched with falling leaves, twigs, logs, and dead organisms.  Temperature in deciduous forest vary between 30 degrees to 90 degrees between winter and summer.
