Technical assistance REGION BASED  Development of guidelines/training material  Adaptation of guidelines to CIS context  Development of specific guidelines when necessary  Workshops for introducing cost-effective methodologies COUNTRY BASED  TA to target countries

Training REGION BASED  Using existing regional training centers  Answering to specific needs of the region as well COUNTRY BASED  On-the-job training in target countries

Research GLOBAL LEVEL  Answering global needs in terms of cost-effective methodologies  Research results = direct inputs for guidelines, training material REGIONAL BASED  No activities funded through the Trust Fund  However specific needs may be addressed and coordination needed with Global level  Research activities funded out of the Global trust Fund may be coordinated within GS umbrella
