By: Kayla Lowe

 Won Best Public Print AD in the 39 th Catholic Mass Media Awards in the Philippines.  Published by the Lambs of Christ, a religious, anti- abortion extremist group.

Foreground  In the front of the picture is a baby’s hand with blood on it and a nail through its hand. The hand is very dominate in this photograph. Background  In the background of the picture you see a plank of wood. It seems as if the wood is barely there. The background is out of focus.

Color- the bright red brings your eye straight to it, thus making it the most dominate thing in the photo. With the black and brown background, it has great contrast making it very noticeable. Emphasis- the thing that your eye is most attracted to is the hand with the hand nailed to the wood. Textures- the textures that you see are the wood. You can tell that it is wood because of the markings on it.

What is symbolized in this advertisement?

 Replicates the crucifixion of Jesus  Well known example of how one was sacrificed for others actions  Well recognized scene, known all over the world.

Is the creator from a credible source?

How does this influence your thinking about abortions?

What emotions do you feel from this advertisement?
