IRCC 7, report from IHO European Union network WG Mexico, 1-3 June Joint European coastal mapping programme To share know-how and to draft a joint programme of high resolution littoral survey and mapping in order to meet the various needs of coastal management First step: definition study and pilot web portal  DG Mare call for tender in August 2014  IENWG initiated action which led to propose a tender by a consortium of 19, leaded by SHOM, with 14 European HOs  Outcome of the procurement procedure to come very soon

IRCC 7, report from IHO European Union network WG Mexico, 1-3 June Directive 2014/89/EU of the European Parliament and of the European Council (23 July 2014) has established a framework for maritime spatial planning. IENWG promotes exchanges between HOs, concerned as they have knowledge of the areas, may provide support (charts, MSDI), they are used to work with together to have continuity and coherence through maritime boundaries, and, for some of them, have responsibilities in MSP.
