Veterans Services Mission Statement To assist and aid all veterans and dependents with benefits that they may be entitled to by the Federal Government or by the State of Texas. Assist in representing veterans or dependents before the VA on claims for service-connected disabilities or pensions. If claim is denied, help assist in the appeal process. In the last 5 years the Veterans Services department has processed more benefit applications than any other county in our service area.

GENERAL INFORMATION There are approximately 47,000 veterans in Collin County. The Veterans Services Office assists approximately 2,400 veterans per year. The office files approximately 1,200 claims per year. In the last 12 month period the Veterans Service Office assisted veterans in receiving $4,662,927 of benefits. The largest claims received for a veteran assisted by this office was $220,000 plus $2,600 per month disability.
