October 2013: Drawings and books
Art homework assignments from mum
Hahgoot does all her BJE studies in Hebrew. This term they studied the stories of the Forefathers and mothers, and learned about the differences between Biblical times and the modern era. Hahgoot completed a comparative chart, writing all the info on the left column by herself (about Biblical times).
Hahgoot’s drawings about the 6 days of creation
Various drawings
Hahgoot continued to read all of Alma’s library books (top right, reading about the Octonauts) and was especially fascinated by Greece (top left, reading Greek mythology) and Rome (bottom, reading about the Colosseum).
Enjoying the gorgeous “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore” by William Joyce (click here to watch the animated film)here By pure chance, the week I brought this great book from the library for Alma, Hahgoot's teacher read it in class as well! Highly recommended.
Designed a haunted castle
As Hahgoot was working hard on reading “Charlie and the chocolate factory” in Hebrew, I brought the original movie from the library to show the girls. Alma was very impressed. When Hahgoot got her gold award at school later that month Alma asked her if she got any chocolate with it... As I like to “mess” with Hahgoot’s brain (as mothers do...) I bought Willy Wonka chocolate at the shop (Nestle sells Wonka chocolates with unexpected designs – this one was like a story, with writing on each choc block). This will keep her guessing if he is real or not...
In our next presentations: More news from Hahgoot!
