 Includes preparation, research, organization, and writing and documentation  A research paper is an extended essay (usually eight to twenty-five pages)  Uses three to ten outside sources that summarizes information about a particular subject in order to prove a point.  Our Research paper will consist of five full pages.

 Choose a focus from the two films that we have been analyzing: › Charlie and the Chocolate Factory › Edward Scissorhands Which ever movie you choose you will then analyze the Cinematic Techniques that Burton uses.

 Topic=Edward Scissorhands  Question that you are trying to prove in your research= How does Tim Burton use cinematic techniques to communicate his purpose in Edward Scissorhands?  Then you will use what we learned and you will use other sources to explain this.

 Your next job is to gather outside information that supports your topic question.  Search the internet and use your Springboard textbook.  YOU MAY NOT CITE FROM WIKIPEDIA  You must have at least five different sources.
