How do cars pollute the environment? Done By: Ameer Atiyah 6A

Why do people like cars? People like cars for many reasons, such as because they don’t have to wait for buses. They can anywhere they want after work. They don’t have to sit or stand in a crowd or sit next to someone they don’t like. And finally, cabs and buses don’t always go where you want them to.

Problems of polluting the air in the world One of the problems with cars is the burning of fuel which produces carbon dioxide in the air. The extra carbon dioxide helps trap the sun's heat on earth. There are several fuels used in Lebanon. We are very concerned with the use of leaded fuel because it affects the health of citizens, children in particular.

How do car pollution destroy the children health? Children, especially those under six years old are at high risk. It affects children’s behaviors, causes learning disabilities and disrupts the normal process of developing cells. Children exposed to high amounts of lead can also damage their central nervous systems, causing brain damage and development problems when learning in school, and growing. They also experience problems with their hearing and often encounter headaches.

How do cars pollute the earth? Cars pollute the air by letting pollution out of it. Whenever a car has gas leaks, or smoke shooting out of the tubes in the back of it, it is always harmful to the air. Vehicles with engines must have fuel that is combustible. When combustion occurs, heat is generated with burning of the fuel. This reaction creates vapors that have chemicals (pollutants.) These pollutants are released into the air causing air pollution.
