Visits and Visitors Children will have the opportunity to benefit from visits and visitors to school We are fortunate that the school heavily subsidises visits and visitors and therefore the maximum cost of any trip should not exceed £10 and will often be less We have one trip arranged in January to see The Borrowers at The New Victoria Theatre. The Animal Man will also be visiting us next year.

Y5 Home Learning Reading: 10 minutes per day Spelling: 10 minutes per day Tables: 10 minutes per day (about 2½ hours per week) (+ Optional additional maths / topic home learning)

Working Together You can help your child by: making sure they have the necessary kit and resources in school reading with them frequently helping them get into a routine for doing weekly homework being positive and supportive of school policies continuing to work closely with us to ensure we have a consistent approach as co- educators.

Keeping in Touch Routine messages, such as doctor’s appointments, can be left with the office in the morning. If you need to speak to your child’s class teacher, please could you ring the office to make an appointment or, if it’s just a quick query, pop and see us after school. Please avoid registration as this is one of our busiest times of the day where the children must be our main focus! If you have any questions or concerns please speak to us as soon as you can. We can usually resolve issues quickly with your help. Parents’ evenings will take place in the Autumn Term. If you have any suggestions about how we could improve our communication please let us know.
