Track 1 – The name of the project I am researching is ‘Audacity’, a free music recording programme. It is an open source software which allows users to record, edit and transform audio tracks into music. Track 2 – The address of it’s website is:
Track 4 – Audacity uses an open-source license to produce its software. It has a GNU General Public License, a licence that gives freedom to the users and allows them to improve the program. Track 3 – The main purpose of the project is to provide free audio recording and editing software. It allows users to record and create music by using different tracks to create music. Track 5 – Audacity was first set up in Audacity version was built on November 14 th 2005 and released on November 15 th Audacity Beta was released on November 13 th However this version is unfinished and unstable. Track 6 – The project gets it’s resources from donations and from the creator’s own funds, and also from advertisers promoting at Audacity’s website.
Track 7 – The main people associated with the project are: Dominic Mazzoni – Project leader and primary programmer Matt Brubeck, James Crook and Vaughan Johnson – Lead developers Track 8 – The country Audacity is based in is the USA. The exact location is unknown.
