Matthew 13:5,6 - Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. 6 But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Matthew 13:7 - Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. II Thessalonians 1:3,4 - We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater; 4 therefore, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure. And how will they hear without a preacher? Matthew 13:20,21 - The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he   falls away. Mark 4:18,19 - And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, 19 but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Matthew 9:37 - Then He *said to His disciples, “ The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Galatians 6:9 - Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
