Fort Mandan In the early spring is when the party left and started there journey. On the way they met Shoshones which was a group of native Americans. This group of natives supplied Lewis and Clark with food and horses. They also told Lewis and Clark about the best route over the Rockies.

San Jacinto River This is where the battle of San Jacinto took place. The Texans had won this battle and they one there independence. Since Texans won there independence this made Americans want to move west to get to Texas. Why, because they had lots of freedom and cotton plantations.

San Francisco This is where the gold rush took place. This was a chance for people took look for gold and get rich. The gold rush expanded America because people went west to try and get gold.

Alamo All the Texans that fought at the Alamo died. Since the Texans lost the battle, this was a rally cry to other people to go west to fight for TEXANS INDEPENDENCE.

Willamette River. Many people traveled to Oregon because of their fertile soil. Other people traveled to Oregon because they wanted animal fur. This was apart of the manifest destiny because the people headed west because of their attractions such as fertile soil and they have plenty rainfall.

Mexico City This is where the Mexican war ended. The war started because united states wanted to take México's land. This was an expansion to the west because the united states went there to take their land.

Trail of tears The Indian removal was an act that pushed Native Americans to move west of the Mississippi. In some areas natives refused to leave their land and homes. This is apart of manifest destiny because they went to the west and where forced to go there.
