Objetos indirectos y pronombres Used to avoid repetition. Ask yourself the question “to whom/for whom?” Ejemplo:I bought a gift for my mom. To whom/for whom did I buy the gift? my mom = I.O.

Los pronombres Ask “to whom/for whom?” to find out the IO. Underline the IO. Replace the IO with IOP. IOP can go in 3 places: In front of conjugated verb. Attached to an infinitive. Attached to a participle. (-ando,-iendo).
Ejemplos Yo di un abrazo a mi novio. (I gave my boyfriend a hug.) To whom/for whom? = a mi novio (IO) IOP = le New sentence: Yo le di un abrazo. (I gave him a hug.)
Yo voy a comprar un regalo para ti. (I am going to buy a gift for you.) To whom/for whom? = para ti (IO) IOP = te New sentence: Yo te voy a comprar un regalo. OR Yo voy a comprarte un regalo. (I am going to buy a gift for you.)
