Master plumbers, who are at the top of their trade, can earn as $40 an hour or more, which is around $80,000+ a year. Apprentice plumbers get paid a percentage of journey person plumber's salary. In general apprentices can earn about 50% of the journey person wage in the first year of apprenticeship, and around 80% by the end of the training period.
