Salary Journey person: Is a person that has completed there apprenticeship and they are certified but they're still a rookie on the job. Apprentice: Is someone learning their trade on the job or under the supervision and direction of a certified journey person with periods of technical training at a post-secondary institution.

Salary ● Journey person plumbers earn somewhere between $18 and $25 an hour. If they work a 40 or 45 hour workweek, the annual earnings is around $37,000 to $60,000 a year. Master plumbers, who are at the top of their trade, can earn as $40 an hour or more, which is around $80,000+ a year. Apprentice plumbers get paid a percentage of journey person plumber's salary. In general apprentices can earn about 50% of the journey person wage in the first year of apprenticeship, and around 80% by the end of the training period.

Job Outlook The work prospects will continue to be FAIR because: Although the retirement rate will likely be average, the number of retiring workers should contribute to job openings The number of job seekers will likely match the number of job openings.

Description about Plumbers ● A plumber is a trades person who maintains, and repairs pipes, plumbing systems, and fixtures. Plumber in not only a person that comes into your house and install bath tubs and unclogs drains, they are need wherever fresh water is. They are also responsible for fitting pipes and fixtures; installing water supply, drainage, and sewage systems; and making repairs to plumbing systems and parts.
