Donpo Return to Ancient Time— Batonguan Historic Trail & the Rainbow Trail

Tonpo, a small mountain village adjacent to the Yushan National Park, is well-known for its excellent hot springs. Situated along both side of the Chen-You-Lan Creek, the village enjoys spring- like weather throughout the year. Due to Tonpo is surrounded by mountains, the climate here is fairly mild in winter and rather cool in summer.

The Ching Dynasty ( ) Batonguan Historic Trail stretches east across the main ridges of the Central Range and is the oldest cross-island road in Taiwan and a class-A National Historic Trail. There is also the Rainbow Trail behind the Dongpu Hot Spring Area. Offering magnificent ecological views, this 1-km footpath is suitable for people of different ages.

Flora In the beginning from Donpo Township to rainbow trail or Donpo hiking trail are the dry farming land or destroyed field. Peach and plum tree are the main crop.
