By Jerrett Holley

 My name is Jerrett Holley, I am originally from Hamilton, Alabama where I attended high school.  After graduating I attended Athens State University where I completed a bachelors in science with a certification to teach.  I currently teach AP Biology/Antatomy and physiology as well as regular Biology.  I am assistant coach with the 9 th grade football team and track team.

 You may me at  You can call me with any questions at  If the schools does not work for any reason you may me at  I apologize in advance for not being here as I have a football game to coach today.

 AP Biology has rigorous coursework requirements and students must stay on top of their studies to succeed.  However in an effort to maintain a positive attitude among students I do allow students to complete test corrections for half credit.  This allows students to experience a college style test, prepare for the AP exam, and still maintain a desired GPA.  Labs are mandatory and should no be missed if possible.  Attendance should always be a priority due to the large amount of information covered in a day.  The AP exam will be in May, students must score a three or higher to receive college credit.

 The goal of regular Biology is prepare students for the Biology portion of the graduation exam.  Students will complete coursework and labs.  Attendance is a priority and should be taken seriously.  This is a blue collar class if students complete the work and study they will not fail.

 In accordance with madison county board policy daily work counts a 40% of a nine weeks grade and test are 60%.  A final is to be given in all classes and count as 15% of the final grade.  There are reduced number of daily grades in AP to better simulate a college course.

 Due to the monetary constraints of the state I could not print a syllabus for each student however will be glad to it to you.  Just leave your name, you students name, the class he or she is enrolled in, and you address.  If you do not have an address call me and I will get you what you need the best way I can.

 Thanks for being a part of my classroom experience, I apologize for not being here, and I look forward to the journey we will be taking together.
