January 2014 LCCU Meeting Stream Video from PC to TV Connect PC to TV:Connect PC to TV –Wired – best for action gaming, for digital TV, plug one end of cable into TV’s HDMI port &: If PC has HDMI port, connect using HDMI cable. If PC has mini DisplayPort, use mini DisplayPort to HDMI. If PC has DVI port, use DVI to HDMI cable. –Wired, but PC has only VGA or S-video ports: If PC has VGA, use VGA to VGA cable and audio cable, or VGA to S-video converter plus VGA cable. Inline with text - click image, Format tab, Arrange group, Wrap Text, “Inline with text”. Positioned on page – click image, Format tab, Arrange group, Wrap Text, select anything other than “Inline with text” to float it, or Position and select one of 9 predefined locations.

January 2014 LCCU Meeting Formatting Images in Word To edit, select image, click Format tab, –Crop - select Crop, drag corner handles to crop, then click outside image to complete. –Border – select Picture Styles group, Picture Border or Style or select Remove Background. –Corrections – select Adjust group, Corrections, select Sharpness and Soften or Brightness and Contrast, or select Picture Corrections Options for slider controls. –Color – select Adjust group, Color, Saturation or Tone. –Compress – select print, screen or as use.

To add drawings, select shapes, SmartArt or Charts, then click/drag on canvas to place them. –Resize – drag corner handles. –move - select to get 4-direction arrow, then drag. –rotate - drag green handle at top.
