Transmission Ways the virus can be transmitted –Human to Human –Animal to Human –Needles to Human Transmitted through body fluids like blood or secretion
Epidemiology Ebola was reported in Democratic Republic of the Congo A researcher hypothesized that the first person to get it was infected by an animal
Prevention Wear protective clothing –Mask –Gloves –Gowns –Goggles Stay away from someone who has it and everything has to be sterilized
Treatment There is no treatment for Ebola They don’t know why some people die and some live The only thing you can do is get some supportive therapy –Balance your fluids and electrolytes –Maintain your oxygen status and blood pressure
Prognosis for the future Scientists trying to find were it started for they can try and stop it They now its in Africa but have not found the reservoir
