“With the end of WWII, America found itself the richest and most powerful country in the world. But almost as soon as the “hot war” was over, it was replaced by a tense and perilous “cold war”. This was not just a struggle among nations, but between the political ideologies of capitalism and communism. It would last for 50 years and at times get very “warm”

Other names for the USSR: -The Soviets -Kremlin (USSR’s capitol building) -Moscow (USSR’s capital city) -Names we call them behind their back -The Reds -The Commies
