Mission The mission of Special Olympics Texas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Vision It is our vision to become the premier provider of Special Olympics training and competition in the world. We approach each endeavor with a single intent - to improve the quality of life for our athletes. The challenges of the future are embraced with enthusiasm and commitment, ensuring that the changing face and needs of our athletes are met.

Qualifications to participate Student must have one of theses disabilities on left and both forms on right 8 yrs. old and older I.Q. of 70 or lower Asperger's Down Syndrome Autism Intellectual disability Medical form SO Medical on file in our office (Must be on form attached) Parent permission form on file (form attached)

Practices One day a week from 9 to 11 We provide transportation to and from practices. There must be a TA that comes with students to help with practices and manage behaviors.
