“Get Ready” Orientation: Student & Academic Support This presentation contains information that will be helpful regardless of the program you are entering. It is provided as a supplement to and not a replacement for any other orientation program(s) to which you have been or will be directed.

Information about completing the FAFSA, eligibility for scholarships, Lottery Tuition Assistance, or loans Counseling about how GPA, withdrawals/drops, and other regulations impact Financial Aid

Student Records (cont’d) Through eTC, you can change your schedule by dropping a course adding a course, changing sections withdrawing from a course These options are not available for the entire term, so check the academic calendar!

Student Records (cont’d) Dropping/Adding courses is limited to the following: The first five instructional days of classes for the fall and spring terms During the first two instructional days of a 5-week summer course or a 7-week semester course and the first three days of a 10 week summer course

Student Records (cont’d) Withdrawing from courses Students may receive a grade of “W” (withdrew) up to 60% of the term. Beyond 60% of the term, a final grade will be entered…and this could be an “F” (failed) that affects financial aid and academic status. After the 60% of term deadline, a “W’” will only be given in extenuating, non-academic circumstances (for example, documented hospitalization). Remember: Check the academic calendar:
