What is Pinnacle?  The Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV) is a web site that allows you to access your student's records in real-time.  You can use the PIV to review attendance information, check overall academic status, and see detailed grade information for specific classes in which your student is enrolled.

Accessing the PIV website: ● The direct web link to the PIV is schools.com/Pinna cle/Gradebook/ schools.com/Pinna cle/Gradebook/ ● You can either use this link, or if you go to the school’s website, you will be able to find the same link there in the "Parents" and “Students” sections.

Logging in to the PIV: Parents and students, we are please to announce that Pinnacle View function has been activated as of Tuesday, September 8, You will need the following information to access this gradebook and attendance database: USER NAME: Student's 10 Digit ID (i.e., PASSWORD: Last 4 number of student ID Pass**** (last 4 numbers of the student ID) Elementary: Somerset Neighborhood Charter Middle School: Somerset Preparatory Middle School Middle School: Somerset Academy Hollywood Middle High School: Somerset Academy Central Miramar High

Viewing general reports: ● "Attendance Summary " - Click this report to see your student's schedule and any reported absences or tardies. ● "Grade Summary" - Click this report to see your student's grades for each grading period, semester exams (if applicable), semester averages, and course average. ● “Schedule Summary" - Click here to get links to staff s for those who have provided them.

Viewing class reports: ● “Class reports" - This displays a detailed listing of all the courses student is enrolled in. Click selected course followed by Get Report for the selected class. Pay careful attention to marking period to ensure you are in the correct “quarter”

Using the Notification System (ENS) 1. On the bottom left side of the PIV screen, under "Options", click " Subscriptions“ Click here to ADD 2. Type in your address in the box labeled "Enter your address here". NOTE: Please type your address very carefully to avoid any problems or delays. 4. Now you will go to the Report Selection screen where you can choose the reports you wish to have ed to you. 5. First fill in your name as you wish it to appear in the box labeled "Enter your name".

Options for Notices: a. Check the box labeled "Automatic Unexcused Absence Notification" to be sent an any time your student has an unexcused absence. b. Check the box labeled "Attendance Summary" to get an attendance report ed to you. You must also choose how often the report is to be sent by selecting that from the drop-down box on the right. c. Check the box labeled "Student Assignments" to get a detailed report including grades for all assignments in all classes and what assignments are missing. You must also choose how often the report is to be sent by selecting that from the drop-down box on the right. d. Check the box labeled "Grade Summary" to get a simple report with just the current letter grade for each class. You must also choose how often the report is to be sent by selecting that from the drop-down box on the right.
