Health problems related to ICT And how to avoid them!

This presentation covers Various health problems related to the use of ICT. Various methods which help avoid getting the problems in the first place.

Introduction Don’t be scared of working with ICT...computers are not going to start running at you with a knife or anything... When people talk about ICT and the dangers of it they are usually talking about either long term health problems or possible safety problems.

Health Problems Health problems are banded under the long term issues which could cause you physical harm. The following problems are some of the more common: – Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) – Repetitive strain injury (RSI) – Carpal tunnel syndrome – Ulnar neurtis (Cubital Tunnel Syndrome) – Eye strain – Back pain/ache – Fatigue – Stress
