Reducing the Metro Carbon footprint Alec Gordon

What is global warming Global warming is the theory that the earth is getting warmer. Most people believe that when we use greenhouse gases and release them into the air they can not escape the atmosphere. These gases also prevent heat from escaping the atmosphere. So the more of theses gases we use the less heat is able to escape earth into space.

Recommendation 1 Plant More Trees

Trees The trees will take away a lot of carbon being emitted by the schools The trees convert carbon into clean breathable oxygen They provide shade and comfort for kids.

Challenges One challenge is that they will take time to plant. After they are planted they will take a long time to grow. They need to be watered and given enough sun to survive

Recommendation 2 Laptops

Laptops They use 80% less energy than a desktop computer Take up less space and are portable Cost less than a desktop for the same specs

Challenges It will cost a lot even though they are less money than a desktop They need to be monitored Do not have a lot of ram

Recommendations 3

Solar energy Clean and natural Reusable and unlimited

Challenges Very costly They take a long time to install Very reflective
