E-competence Assessment System

Purpose of the System The purpose of E-competence assessment system is to examine theoretical knowledge electronically. Tests are formed from questions and used to examine candidates. System assessors have opportunity to supervise the candidate additionally and collect additional information about him. For example fixate candidate’s documents (CV, e-copies of diplomas, recommendations of employers, a. o.) and form candidate’s portfolio of practical experience.

Tests’ and Questions’ Module Tests are designed by defining what qualification it is related to and how many questions related to different competencies there will be. Questions are formed by defining what competence they examine and are created independently of tests. The system generates the test during the exam automatically from questions related to particular competencies depending on criteria defined by creating a test. Classifiers’ module User with the role of Administrator administrates all system classifiers. In the system there are 5 classifiers: Qualifications, Competencies, Competence units, Studying programs and Rating methods. These classifiers are used in other system modules for example by creating tests or questions where is needed to choose from the suggestion list. By creating classifiers it is important to know that: Qualification could be assigned to Studying program; Qualification could be assigned to Studying program; Competence must be assigned to Qualification; Competence must be assigned to Qualification; Competence unit must be assigned to Competence. Competence unit must be assigned to Competence.

Assessor’s subsystem Assessors work with 2 modules in the system: Profiles and Tests. In profiles’ module assessor can review the main information about candidate, his completed tests, candidate’s documents, observation results. In tests’ module assessor can create tests and questions.

Profiles’ module

In Candidates profile assessor can find following information: Details – the main information about candidate: name, last name, code, qualifications and results of completed tests, contact and login information. In this window assessor can change candidate’s password, disable him or modify information about him; Details – the main information about candidate: name, last name, code, qualifications and results of completed tests, contact and login information. Tests’ and Questions’ Module This module is designed for creating tests and questions for candidates. In Tests’ and Questions’ module assessor can form the structure of tests and the main criteria, separately create questions’ base. The system generates the test during the exam automatically from questions related to particular competencies and depending on test’s criteria. This module consists of two modules: creating tests and creating questions.
