What is the Center for Early Literacy Learning? CELL promotes the use of evidence-based everyday literacy activities by responsive adults with children birth to five in literacy-rich environments CELL accomplishes this by translating research to practice in the following way: –Synthesizing research evidence on effective early literacy learning practices and interventions –Developing evidence-based practices from the syntheses –Implementing and evaluating the use of these practices –Providing technical assistance to promote the adoption and use of evidence-based early literacy learning practices 1

Who operates the Center for Early Literacy Learning? CELL is funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs CELL is operated by a four organization team: –Orelena Hawks Puckett Institute –American Institutes for Research –PACER Center –AJ Pappanikou Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities 2 Who operates the Center for Early Literacy Learning?
