Florida’s beef industry reported sales of $448 million in BrangusMaine-Anjou

Florida has 16,694 ranches at last count. (2007 Census of Agriculture) Angus Hereford

Florida ranks 10 th nationally with 940,000 beef cows. Calves born in 2011 totaled 890,000. Charolais Limousin

Florida’s ranchers shipped 700,000 feeder calves to other states in Beefmaster Gelbveih

Okeechobee is the state’s leading beef cattle county with 140,000 head of beef cattle. SimmentalBraford
