Science Methods Portfolio Best Works & Reflections Darricka Purnell Professor Henderson Science Methods December 13, 2008

Science Teacher Interview Reflection I really enjoyed interviewing my mentor teacher. Although she teaches all subjects (except Math) I learned Science is her strong subject. She teaches Science twice a day to two classes. From her I have already learned many ways to make Science interesting and fun for students, even when not doing inquiry based work.

Track Star Reflections About My Track This activity was interesting. Since we were able to use the topic we did our Bulletin Board on, I was already very knowledgeable about the topic. In opinion, Track Stars are a very good way to incorporate technology in the classroom. I believe students would prefer to complete an assignment such as this rather than a worksheet. About My Track Title: Environmental Science: Pollution and Recycling Track # 370000 Link: http://trackstar.4teachers.or g/trackstar/ts/viewTrack.do ?number=370000

Science Fair Project Layered Liquids Reflection Of all the assignments we completed this was by far my favorite! I enjoyed doing a Science Project because it was very hands on and I got to make a prediction and actually conduct an experiment to see if my prediction was correct.
