Module Loading Site Qualification G. Darbo - INFN / Genova SQTF, 25 / 11 / Cooling & Thermal Cycles Cooling circuit modified: Lauda RK20-KS with Ethylene Glycol (75%) + H2O (25%) running at - 30ºC to cool the box at ~ -3º Lauda RP855C with C8F18 to cool or thermal cycle the stave. Problems encountered with Lauda chillers: Lauda RP845 break down, under repair -> Given a new and more powerful version in evaluation: RP855 -> faulty behaviour from time to time of the refrigerator… Lauda RP855 has a pressure/suction pump (see next slide) for fluid circulation in the application. We suspect that the suction generates cavitations in the C8F18 (bubbling) -> fluid lost. The system is now capable to run thermal cycles between ±30º on the power off modules (see slide)

Module Loading Site Qualification G. Darbo - INFN / Genova SQTF, 25 / 11 / Thermal Cycles
Module Loading Site Qualification G. Darbo - INFN / Genova SQTF, 25 / 11 / Stave S Electrical Test LOAD test completed: Some dead pixel on the first row of several chip (see last week presentation) are not really bad - they respond to source. Thermal cycles done STAVE test underway
Module Loading Site Qualification G. Darbo - INFN / Genova SQTF, 25 / 11 / S Robot Upgrade Third production stave under loading 11 modules loaded -> completed tomorrow. A Heidenhain Linear Encoder will be added to verify/correct the Z movement of the robot A better visual inspection/measure digital microscope is under evaluation to improve module positioning in the garage position and to improve the Z precision of the CMM.
