Degree of a Monomial The exponent of the variable.

Degree of a Monomial with more than one variable… The sum of the exponents of all of its variables. 7xyz = degree 3

Polynomial A monomial or the sum/difference of monomials which contain only 1 variable. The variable cannot be in the denominator of a term.

Degree of a Polynomial The degree of the term with the highest degree; what is the highest exponent??
