Information about Bees wings thorax abdomen compound eye jointed legs If it is a female it will have a stinger on it’s tail Bees live in hives. They eat nectar. They turn nectar into honey. Three types of bees: 1.The queen bee who lays the eggs 2.The workers-who make the honey, gather the food, make the honeycomb 3.The drones-the male bees who mate with the queen Did you know that honey bees' wings stroke 11,400 times per minute and this makes the buzzing noise? antennae

Bees give us honey Honey is good for us - lots of vitamins Honey is good for our skin and hair Honey is great for burns Important role in pollinating fruit trees and other plants If you have a sore throat, honey soothes it Why should we look after bees

Why we should eradicate bees Stings can be very painful. Lots of people are scared of being stung. Many people are allergic to bees & can die from their sting. A type of bee called the African Bee swarms in thousands and can kill a human being or animal.

We think that even though bees can give you a nasty bite, we should look after them because they do lots of good work pollinating fruit trees and flowering crops. If we didn’t have any bees then we probably wouldn’t have as much fruit to eat. Fruit is not only important to us for our health but it also feeds many birds and insects. We think that we should always be careful around bees to make sure that they don’t sting us. My Opinion
