Important to Know: We eliminate prepositional phrases because they will NOT contain the subject, verb, direct object, indirect object, predicate noun, nor predicate adjective. Sentences do NOT have to have prepositional phrases. Indirect objects are rare. Remember: The subject of ALL imperative sentences (commands) is the “understood you.” Example: Complete the assignment.
