Summary Julie Barenson looses her husband at the age of 25. A few weeks after the death it was Christmas time, their favorite time of the year. She couldn’t handle thinking of all their good times around this time. Right when she was feeling her worst someone came to her door, she had no idea who he was, he handed her a present and said Merry Christmas and ran off. She opened the present and saw a letter inside from Jim. He talked about how he always knew he was going to die and he would always watch over her. Also in the present was a puppy, a Great Dane. He said he always wanted one and was giving her one to remind her that he would always be there for her and would always be watching over her. After all of this the book is taking place four years later. Julie finally starts dating again and there is a few guys but nothing clicks. Then she meets Richard and at the time he’s perfect. Funny, nice, and attractive. After awhile things aren’t going anywhere and Julie doesn’t think there is any spark so she ends it. Richard doesn’t take it very well and tries everything he can to get her back, but it doesn’t work. A little after the break up she realizes she’s in love with her best friend Matt Harris. She figures out that he has the same feelings for her and they date. Richard gets jealous and it causes problems between him and Mike. Julie finds out that Richard has been stalking her and he murdered his first wife so she cuts off all contact with him and finds help. Julie and Mike both fall in love with each other but they don’t think they could go anywhere with the relationship because of the previous relationships he’s had with the family.

Main Conflict I think there Is two conflicts in the story. First one would be when Jim dies of cancer and Julie has to find way to move on when his death made herself feel like she couldn’t do anything ever again. Second one would be when Richard gets jealous of Mike and tries hurting him when fighting him in a bar with Julie.

My Recomendation I really enjoyed this book. It made me wanting to read more which is hard for me because I hate reading. I recommend this book to any girl. I don’t think guys would have much interest in this kind of book.
