Students ’ needs Lack – Confidence in communicating with native speakers Language ability Sociocultural knowledge Want – Enhance oral communication ability – Use their imagination and creativity in doing the oral tasks

Target situation Who are they going to interact with? In what kinds of places, e.g. workplace, study settings. What are they going to talk about?

This is a textbook series of the Chinese (China-related topics), by the Chinese (Chinese compilers) and for the Chinese (especially designed for English majors in China).

How Are We Different?
