Facts! The Sun is by far the largest object in the solar system. It contains more than 99.8% of the total mass of the Solar System. Greeks called it Heliosand the Romans called it Sol. The Sun is, at present, about 70%hydrogenand 28% helium by mass everything else ("metals") amounts to less than 2%. This changes slowly over time as the Sun converts hydrogen to helium in its core.

Sun’s Moons! Sun has no moon, it has planets that revolve around the sun.

Physical Properties The color of the sun is a dark red. It also has solar flares that come out of the sun. The radius of the sun is 432,450mi The diameter of the sun is 864,938mi. The circumference of the sun is 2,713,406mi

History of sun Since the Sun was an important object, many ancient people treated it with reverence and thought the sun was a god. Many worshipped the Sun, and built monuments to celebrate it. Monuments like Stonehenge in England, and the Pyramids of Egypt were used to mark the position of the Sun over the course of the year.
