Presentation transcript:

Great Job Geocaching!! With you team, open your wallets and count the money you have collected. Label your wallets with the amount of money. Take your time to decide what coins you have an how much they are each worth. Add up the values very carefully so that you have an accurate amount.

Geocaching Shopping With your team, come up with a grocery list of things you would buy to make dinner tonight. 50 ₵ 70 ₵ 30 ₵ 35 ₵ 30 ₵ 40 ₵ 20 ₵ 40 ₵ 20 ₵ 10 ₵

Talk about your grocery list? Did your team have enough money to buy a complete dinner? Did you have money left over? Did you need more money? What are some things that you still need/some things that you got that you may NOT need? Is there anything you wanted to buy that was not an option? Is your dinner just for you or will you have enough for your whole family? Do you have enough to invite me to dinner????

Did you make a balanced meal? Turn your grocery list over and list the different food groups that are incorporated in your meal. Fill out the chart based on what your team is planning on buying.

Did you make a balanced meal? Do you need to make any changes to be healthier? How many people will you be able to make dinner for? How much money is left over? What could you do with that money? Is there anything else you would need to make dinner tonight besides groceries?
