Pierre Bonnet By: Philip Benedict FR1B

My slide show is about Pierre Bonnard, a French artist.

He was an impressionist and then an abstract artist.

This is my favorite painting by Bonnard, Bowl of Fruit.

He painted for approximately 60 of his 80 years of life. He changed his style three time during that period

Bonnet was born on October 3 rd, 1867 in Fontenay-aux-Rosesand, a small community in the suburbs of Paris.

He actually was studying to become a lawyer, but the dream up and became an artist.

In his youth, he admired the works of Paul Gauguin. Gauguin’s Painting, Mr. Lou Lou Bonnard’s painting, Bowl of Milk

Between the years of 1889 and 1902 he painted approximately 250 billboards, theatre décor, etc. A billboard that Bonnard painted for a play.

Pierre Bonnard died in the city of Cannes at the age of 80 on January 23, 1947.

Some of Bonnard’s paintings can be found at the Chicago Institute of Art in Chicago, Illinois.
